Paper over Board - an alternative environmental binder solution

Introduced to our range of production facilities in January 2005, in house manufacturing of Paper over Board binders is now firmly established as a favourite with our clients.

Supplied pre printed and laminated sheets are trimmed and mitred then bound to a grey board case, the overhanging 4 edges are turned inside and a liner plain or printed is added inside. Finished off by creasing and the fitting of a ring mechanism a paper over board or a case bound binder is a really environmentally friendly option. This product has an excellent high quality, long lasting feel and coupled with litho printed outer image sheet quality, this makes a very attractive alternative to Polypropylene or traditional PVC . We are also happy to print the outer and inner sheets for you if required.

Paper over Board Specifications

1. Supplied printed sheets to be printed on 150gsm paper plus a gloss or matt lamination of around 60 microns.

2. When planning your printing, the direction of the grain on the paper sheets must run parallel to the short edge, ie. parallel to the spine creases, this will help to avoid the paper stressing when creasing.

3. A template will be supplied for artwork to be laid up to on receipt of an order. 30mm must be added to all 4 edges of template for trimming and turnover purposes.

4. Number of sheets over required:-

0-500 sheets = 100 sheets over minimum required.
500-1,000 sheets = 200 sheets over minimum required.
1,000-2,000 sheets = 300 sheets over minimum required.
2,000 + sheets = 400 sheets over minimum required.
